10-year-old gets tattooed, mom + tattoo artist arrested


Do you allow your child to obtain permanent residence? tattoo? A New York woman gave her 10-year-old son permission to get some ink, and as a result, she and the tattoo artists got caught.

New York times She reported that 33-year-old Crystal Thomas was arrested last month for allowing her son to get a tattoo, even though she thought she was giving him permission to get a temporary tattoo instead. The child visited his school nurse to receive an ointment to treat the tattoo, and the nurse called the police after seeing his name tattooed in large letters on the inside of his forearm. According to the police department, Thomas has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child Facebook pageand issued in an attendance ticket.

"No young child should be tattooed," Thomas told the newspaper, claiming the situation was a misunderstanding.

Apparently, the 20-year-old tattoo artist, Austin Smith, was unlicensed and has therefore been charged with illegally dealing with a child. "It's the worst mistake I've ever made," Smith said. "At the time, I thought if you got your parents' permission, you could get a tattoo."

According to a Times report, the 10-year-old wanted the tattoo because one of his teachers had one in the same spot on his arm.
