Over the past decade and a half, Marvel has completely dominated the box office with some of the highest-grossing films ever made with the likes of Avengers: Endgame And the Spider-Man: There is no room for home. Even the small screen has succumbed to Avengers fever with hit shows like WandaVision, Loki, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel, and the newer She-Hulk: A lawyer at law. With Marvel's Phase 4 currently in the works and Kevin Feige revealing the slate of Phases 5 and 6, we now thought it would be a great time to reflect on the early stages that made the MCU machine work.

Although it seems like a no-brainer now, there was a time when the success of the MCU was not certain, but thanks to the foundation laid by Phase 1 and Phase 2, it has ensured the continuity of the interconnected universe for years. That came. The first phase consisted of films that established the primary heroes - Iron Man, The Amazing Hulk, Iron Man 2, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Thor before culminating with The Avengers. Phase Two featured action sequences that expanded on science and deepened character dynamics with Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man, and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

But which of the first two stages was more powerful? So put on your red suit of armor, get your arrows ready, and don't make us angry because it's time... FACE OFF!

This episode of Face Off was written by Matthew Hakunda, narrated by Sean Niebelberg, and edited by Rick Solomon. But don't let us have the last word - tell us in the comments which Phase 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe do you prefer - Phase 1 or Phase 2?
