the first Black Panther It was a somewhat self-contained story within Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the sequel sets up a lot of things for the future of the MCU. But the movie also greatly expands what we know about vibranium, that mysterious substance that underpins all of Wakanda's amazing technology. Previously, we thought Wakanda was the only vibranium home on Earth. Now we know of at least one other source: the Talokan, the home of Namur and his underwater civilization. And both of these sources of vibranium may be connected to celestial beings, who sent their "seeds" to Earth the same way vibranium got here (i.e. in a meteorite) and could also be connected to Kang and the multiverse - something that may happen in the coming Avengers: Secret Wars Movie.
