Sooooo...don't expect Quentin Tarantino to direct a marvel movie anytime soon.
This is not what you would get. Tarantino has, with very few exceptions, made nothing but original films. (Jackie Brown It was based on a novel by Elmore Leonard; This is his only adaptation so far.) Tarantino has openly admitted that he collected comics as a child and that he does not "hate" Marvel movies. Part of the Marvel-ization of Hollywood is… you have all these actors who have become famous playing these characters. But they are not movie stars. right? Captain America is the star. Or Thor is the star. I mean, I'm not the first person to say that. I think that's been said a million times, you know, but, you know, but, you know, these franchise characters have become stars.
Whether Marvel stars are real stars is a subjective matter, and some of these actors are certainly more famous than others. (I doubt Tarantino would argue that Robert Downey Jr. isn't a movie star, for example.)
At least one Marvel superhero has mused on Tarantino's comments; Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings "If the only guardians of movie stardom were Tarantino and Scorsese, I would never have the chance to helm a $400+ million movie," star Simo Liu wrote on Twitter.
