50 cents He pitched an idea for another new TV show, this time looking to tell the story of notorious New York City crime boss Clarence "The Preacher" Heatley.
On Monday (December 12), 50 took to Instagram to tease his next show that centers on the crime boss who rules Harlem and parts of The Bronx, with his team, The Preacher Crew. On his first post, he was G-unit The mogul shared a photo and mugshot of Heatley and asked fans if they were ready for what was to come.
“Is Harlem ready for the priest story,” the 50 captioned his post. “I got some shit, I'm coming over. The Black Hand GLG GreenLightGang.”
In his next post, the G-Unit chief revealed that he may have his friend and co-star Gbenga Akinnagbe - famous for his role as Chris Partlow. the wire - Play the character Heatley in the show as they look alike.
"I think my son Gibenga Akinagbe should play The Black Hand Of Death," 50 added. “What do you think? #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi.”
Besides the 1950s fliers, there's no other word on the show's title, who will be involved in it or when it's slated to drop. But as history has shown, 50 Cent knows how to produce a show.
Clarence "The Preacher" Heatley began running his criminal gang in 1983. The organization sold drugs, and engaged in racketeering, kidnapping and even murder in New York City, all in order to make the name The Preacher Crew. Heatley's Reign of Terror was so violent that it was also known as the Black Death's Head.
The ruling would end in the mid-1990s when Heatley was arrested and charged with three counts of murder and conspiracy to murder in aid of racketeering. He would receive many other federal charges in the following years, including drug trafficking, 11 murder plots, 86 racketeering counts and more.
The United States government disclosed a file Kingpin's friend in law, which allows the prosecution to seek the death penalty in major drug cases, right when Heatley was charged. The preacher ended up being the first person exposed to the new law.
