Anya Taylor-Joy is slated to star in the future Mad Max: Fury Road prefix Furiosa, in which she plays the titular character. According to Taylor-Joy, getting the movie was life-changing.

in Recent interview with The Hollywood ReporterJoy is asked if playing Furiosa is as fun as she thought. The actress confirmed her enjoyment and said it would likely take a full two years before the film comes out to process the "life-altering" experience.
"It will take a full two years before the movie comes out for me to start processing what I just let go of 12 days ago," Joy said. "[Furiosa] It was the most life changing experience I have ever had, with such talented artists. I really felt like I had grown up a lot, but yeah, it's wild. It is completely unique. "
While not much is known about the recently wrapped movie, Furiosa Described as a standalone story that will delve into the origins of the character previously portrayed by Charlize Theron (old guard) before crossing paths with the eponymous anti-mother franchise hero. The film is directed by Golden Globe winner Anya Taylor-Joy (Queen's maneuver), Chris Hemsworth (Avengers: Endgame) and Tom Burke (Munch). The latter replaced Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who dropped out of the project due to scheduling conflicts.

Although the film fared poorly at the box office with a worldwide total of over $370 million, Mad Max: Fury Road It was a critical success, with critics praising the cinematography, production design, and performances by Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, who both had a difficult time during filming.
