the new Super Mario Bros. A movie coming to theaters - titled, Very Cleverly, Super Mario Bros game. Movies - Quite different from Nintendo's first attempt to bring the popular Nintendo game to theaters in 1993. This version is animated, rather than live-action, and features a closer look to Nintendo games than the live-action version, which was very different from the games in look, tone, and style. Most of the game's fans were not attracted to this antics Mario brothers From the nineties. It's become a notorious flop, though it's become something of a stunner in recent years. (Very weird movies tend to do this.)
Not everyone is excited about more 'fidelity'. Mario movie though. John Leguizamo, who played Luigi in the live-action Super Mario Bros. He didn't have positive things to say about it. Animated film in an interview with Endeavor. And the managers pointed out to him MarioAnnabel Junkel and Rocky Morton, "They fought so hard for me to be a pioneer because I was a Latina guy, and they were [the studio] You don't want me to be a pioneer. They fought really hard, and that was a breakthrough." For the new film, he added, "we're not casting another movie." [actor of color] Kind of sucks. (In the animated film, Luigi is voiced by Charlie Day, and Mario is voiced by Chris Pratt.)
Other key members of the animated voice cast include Anya Taylor-John as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, and Keegan Michael Key as Toad. It'll be interesting to see how well-received this "faithful" version is, and how it compares to the old school movie. Will more people come to re-evaluate that first Super Mario Bros. If the new stink?
