Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania It will serve as a precursor to Marvel's next big blunder - Conqueror Kang (Jonathan Majors). The character is expected to have a major impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the next two stages of the franchise, but what drew Jonathan Majors to the character?
Following in the footsteps of previous major Marvel villains, including Tom Hiddelston's Loki and Josh Brolin's Thanos, is no easy task, but Jonathan Majors has been keen to stretch his acting muscles. Like most actors who step into the role of a villain, Majors said CinePop that he does not see Kang as pure evil, but rather a character so multidimensional that there are more versions of him scattered across the multiverse. The actor added that while he found inspiration from other Marvel villains, he wanted Kang to represent the deepest insecurities of his generation.
It's funny, because I actually went through and looked at Ultron, looked at Loki, looked at Thanos. And I had an idea, just for me, of what I wanted to bring to the MCU with Kang. A certain requirement must occur. I think Ultron and Loki and Thanos, I think those would be the perfect villains or enemies. They all had qualities that were very interesting to them, some of them had in common, and it's just a necessity to take up the mantle.
