Lynn RimesShe has an unwelcome surprise early on Christmas - bleeding on her vocal cords causing delays to several concerts.
In a social post, the country star explains how, while she was recovering from the flu, doctors found another illness.
"It is absolutely sad and impatient to announce that I will be rescheduling performances this weekend," reads a handwritten message posted to Instagram.
“While I had the flu, my doctor discovered a vocal cord hemorrhage caused by the violent coughing associated with the illness. I am getting better, but I am unable to speak or sing… under the doctor’s orders!”
The message continues, “I am bummed to do this as there was nothing I could look forward to more than to celebrate the holidays with you. Please check your emails for rescheduled information and I will see you very soon.”
Rimes' Friday (December 9th) show at Riverside Casino & Golf Resort has been rescheduled to September 9th. 29, 2023, and her concert at Ryman Auditorium on Saturday will now take place on April 8, 2023.
