German hit legends Kreator kept the show rolling with 10 tracks of their own, then shortly after 9pm ET Mercyful Fate took the stage and performed 11 songs from their catalog, ending the night with the encore of "Devil's Fall."

Over the summer, Mercyful Fate played a few festival shows, and debuted a new song called The Salzburg Jackal. According to a new interview by Brian Slagel, founder of Metal Blade Metal soundThe band plans to finish recording the song once they get home from the current tour, and it will be released digitally. It will be available sometime in the next couple of months, and then they have another song already written that will be recorded and released after that.
"So there will be two Mercyful Fate songs. We'll probably do some kind of vinyl with the two tracks as well," Slagel explained. "Then we will have it Diamond King next album. And then we'll go back to the way we did it in the '90s where the next record will be the full Mercyful Fate album."
