Shawn Levy says the Real Steel series is still in development


In a recent interview with colliderAnd the Real steel Director Shawn Levy finally opened up about the current progression of the upcoming Disney+ series from the 2011 film Real theft The series is still "in very active and promising development", while also sharing his enthusiasm for what they have been working on the project.

Levy also went on to reveal his process of finding the right writer and story for the adaptation. He said it took a while and a number of shows before you finally landed on someone whose interesting idea revolved around film lore.

"But I will say we heard a lot of pitches," Levy recalled. "And I realized, over the course of those pitches, that I'm very protective of Real Steel. I'd rather do no show than go wrong. And I finally hear a shot that takes film lore and does some really interesting stuff with it. I finally get really excited about where we're going."

the Real steel Series produced by Levy to produce 21 Laps. Executive producers are Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rabic of Compari Entertainment, along with Jacqueline Levin, Susan Montford and Don Murphy of Angry Films. She hails from TV 20.
