Ray Cordero, who has interviewed music acts including the Beatles During a six-decade career in Hong Kong the radio which earned him the title of the world's longest working disc jockey, his former employer has announced his death. He was 98 years old.

Cordero passed away on Friday (January 13), according to Hong Kong Radio and Television, where he worked until 2021. The cause of death was not given.
Cordero, born in Hong Kong in 1924 of Portuguese descent, is recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the longest-working DJ in the world.
He joined the Hong Kong Public Broadcasting Corporation in 1960 after working as a prison warden and bank clerk. Easy listening music was his 'All the Way With Ray' show on RTHK Radio 3 for 51 years until his retirement.
"The audience followed me and grew up with me and they're all over the world now," Cordero said Associated Press in 2021 after his retirement. "They still listen to me on the Internet."
Cordero interviewed the Beatles, then the biggest music act in the world, in 1964 after a course of study in London with the BBC. He said John Lennon recounted his early days in Hamburg, Germany, where they lived in relative poverty and played in clubs.
Cordero said that all four members of the Beatles signed him on the cover of a magazine.
"Maybe it's worth a fortune," he said.
The broadcast of the Beatles interview on Hong Kong radio made Cordero a celebrity. He also interviewed and met other stars Elton John And Tony Bennett.
