There are noticeable similarities between the Motley Crue jersey and Iron Maiden artwork from 40 years ago. The devil's pose is the same, as is the position of the arms, legs and tail, while the right hand makes the same "string puppet" gesture as the number of the beast. The Devil Maiden's Pitchfork was replaced with a skull ripped off on Crue's shirt, while the Devil Crue was given fangs in place of normal human teeth.
Even the left shoulder and leg muscles are identical. Of course, the background smoke and fire can be found at the devil's feet in the original. Number of the beast coverage. Although there seem to be some minor tweaks, the Satan characters are strikingly similar.
The shirt, as of this post, is featured on The official Motley Crue webstore. Description reads, " motley crow Shout At The Devil Vintage Pentagram Tee features an illustrated design complete with the iconic pentagram. The shirt reads "Screaming at the Devil" and ends with the classic Motley Cruee logo at the top. Iron Maiden was not mentioned.

Of course, it's unknown how this t-shirt design came about or if Iron Maiden or the original artist was involved, but since the t-shirt is officially licensed merchandise, the Motley Crue teams were almost certainly involved in approving the design.
Loudwire reached out to Motley Crue and Iron Maiden for comment on the similarities.
