Spinoff series 'Spider-Man' is coming to Amazon


Spider-Man's web is expanding to television in a big way.

Amazon And Sony Pictures announced a deal that will begin production on a television series based on the Sony series Spider Man Universe marvel Personalities. The first will be titled Silk: The Spider Societyand will be produced by the walking Dead's Angela Kang. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who produced and wrote the spider verse animated films, she will executive produce the show with longtime live-action Spidey producer Amy Pascal.

Amy Pascal, Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and the latest live-action and animated reimagining of the Spider-Man series have represented some of the most dynamic superhero narratives on film. Combined with Angela Kang's creative vision, we couldn't be happier to bring Silk: Spider Society to MGM+ and Prime Video customers.

In Marvel Comics, Silk - AKA Cindy Moon - was bitten by the same radioactive spider that gave Peter Parker her powers. After years of imprisonment, she escaped and became the superhero known as Silk. She has played a major role in recent Spider-Man comics, as well as the original Spider-Verse stories. In the MCU, she had a brief cameo in Homecoming Spider-Man And the Avengers: Infinity WarWhere she played the role of Tiffany Espenson.

The silk The series will air first on MGM+ and then on Amazon Prime Video. And while silk is the premiere of the Spider-Man TV universe, and other shows are expected.
