James Bond vs. Indiana Jones!
I'll admit that was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the full trailer for in 1923the long-awaited Paramount Plus Yellowstone Prequel limited series. While we previously got a teaser introducing us to the concept of the show, this new, extended trailer, which dropped during tonight's episode of Yellowstone on Paramount Network, for a full look at what has to be one of the most talked-about winter shows. It also unveils one of the show's primary villains, Donald Whitfield, played by none other than former 007 Timothy Dalton, who appears to be an Earth baron at odds with the Dutton clan. Considering how things generally turn out for the Duttons' antagonists, I'd say Dalton's character will definitely meet an apocalyptic end.
As previously revealed, Harrison Ford plays Jacob Dutton, who he and his beloved wife Cora (his Mosquito Coast The star, Helen Mirren), runs Yellowstone Ranch. Jacob is the brother of James Dutton (played by Tim McGraw in in 1883), a fan of Yellowstone You will note, he died protecting his family sometime in the 1890s. Jacob watches James' son, John Dutton Sr. (James Badge Dale), grandfather of Kevin Costner's John Dutton III on the flagship Yellowstone show.

You should note that the Yellowstone The mythology grows more complex with each new show, but so far, Taylor Sheridan's world has proven to be very consistent. in 1883 It was a great limited series, and in 1923to assign Run two seasons, looks totally fine. In it, Jacob of Ford appears to be at war with Timothy Dalton's big wig and his hired guns, led by Game of thronesJerome Flynn. The trailer looks action-packed, with the gun-wielding Ford still cutting the classic 80's cowboy persona. Dalton looks like he's having a blast chewing up the scenery, but I do have one concern based on the trailer, which I'll reveal after the break...
Well, are you still here? My theory is that Harrison Ford's Jacob will die very early in the show - maybe even in the very first episode. Sheridan has done this before, with Kyle Chandler's character running Mayor of Kingstown. It feels like Ford wouldn't actually stick around for two full seasons, given how busy he was with the promotion Indiana Jones 5 This spring/summer. Plus he'll be joining the MCU as well stun ross. I think he's going to die, and Merrin's Cora will be the center of the show.
