Tiger Guitar player Rex Brown and drummer Charlie Pennant Share salutations Dimebag Daryl On the the eighteenth anniversary of his death. The guitarist was shot and killed on stage while performing with the damagplan In Columbus, Ohio.
Brown played in Pantera with Darrell from the moment he joined in 1982 until the group disbanded in 2003. Darrell and his brother are drummers Vinnie Paulto form Damageplan, who released a self-titled solo album The new force has been found in February 2004. The band was on tour later that year, playing a show at the Alrosa Villa venue in Columbus when a man named Nathan Gale shot Darryl multiple times during the group's first song.
"It's been 18 years since Dimebag Daryl was tragically captured," Brown wrote, captioning a photo of his fallen teammate on Instagram. "Thank you all for keeping his memory alive! Be sure to make a black tooth or 3 in his honor. RIP Jeffrey Mayhem Thompson, Nathan Bray and Erin Halk who also lost their lives trying to protect the dime."
Thompson was one of the band's security guards, Bray was another fan of the band who attended the show that night and Hulk was an employee at the venue. Three other people were injured that night as well.
On the other hand, Black Tooth is an alcoholic beverage officially known as Black Tooth Smile. Consequently biviPublished by Pantera and made by Crown Royal, Seagram's 7 and Coca-Cola. The name was inspired by the lyrics in the songs Megadeth song "Sweating Bullets" - "One day you will know my pain too / And he smiled her black-toothed smile. "
Benante recently joined Pantera's line-up on drums for their concert tour, but his friendship with the band members goes way back. He shared a photo of himself playing guitar alongside Darryl, though it's not clear what year it was taken.
"Remembering Dimebag Daryl today and every day," the drummer wrote with a heart in the caption.
