Rockers honor Jeff Beck


The rock and roll community suffered another huge loss today when Jeff BeckThe guitar legend's family shared a statement He died at the age of 78. Fellow musicians have taken to social media to pay tribute to the late rock singer, and express their admiration for his legacy.

According to the statement, Beck died on the 3rd of January. 10 after infection with bacterial meningitis.

"On behalf of his family, we share the news of Jeff Beck's death with deep and profound sadness," the statement read. "After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he passed away peacefully yesterday. His family is asking for privacy while they process this terrible loss."

The guitarist made a name for himself playing in The Yardbirds before forming his own band The Jeff Beck Group with Rod Stewart And Ronnie Wood, among other artists. Beck's most recent work was a collaborative album with Johnny Depp titled 18, which came out in June of 2022, and he played on two songs from Ozzy Osbournelatest album Patient number 9 - The title track and another called "A Thousand Shades".

"The six-stringed warrior is no longer here for us to admire the incantation he can weave around our mortal feelings," he wrote. His imagination is seemingly limitless. Jeff will miss you along with your millions of fans. Jeff rest in peace."
