Sirius Jones arrested after abandoning gun in bathroom


Judd Jones He was arrested in his home state of New Jersey after trying to hide a weapon while he was being questioned about violating a restraining order.

According to the Daily VoiceBergen County Sheriff received a call Thursday afternoon (December 1) to investigate a violation of a restraining order at the Ridgefield Park, New Jersey apartment where Disturbing former artist Tha Peace Once lived.

The 41-year-old rapper (real name Slim Bligen) fled the scene and was seen by officers Kenneth Nebel, Joe Avila, Christopher Dooley, and Lavron Green at a local restaurant shortly thereafter.

When the officers entered the restaurant, Sirius Jones allegedly went to the bathroom and came out shortly thereafter to speak with the authorities. After talking to the battle rapper, Officer Knebl walked into the bathroom, where he found a fully loaded 9mm Sig Sauer P320 on the window sill.

Bergen County Lt. Art Jensen says officers also recovered a small amount of prescription medication, along with hollow bullets and a large-capacity magazine.

Sirius Jones was immediately transferred to the Bergen County Jail where he will remain until his first appearance before the Central Judicial Processing Court. He was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and several other weapons related offences.

This is not the first time the former MTV fight club Champion has run into legal troubles in recent years. In 2020, Sirius Jones avoided decades in prison by pleading guilty to a number of lesser charges, after being charged with human trafficking in Contra Costa County, California.

According to the Mercury NewsInstead, Jones was sentenced to three years in prison for pimping, seducing a witness, assault, and other related charges. With good behaviour, he became eligible for a 50 percent reduction in his sentence, which would have meant his early release in June 2021. It is not clear when or under what circumstances Jones was released.

In addition to serving time, Serius Jones' plea deal called for $6,000 in restitution and included a 10-year protection order from the woman who identified him to authorities as her pimp.

Bergen County police have not indicated whether this is the restraining order that Sirius Jones is accused of violating.
