Walker Mastiff Seeking a highly organized, multi-tasking and dynamic Press Coordinator to continue to foster effective relationships with our network, assist in raising awareness for clients, and assist in the implementation of strategic PR strategies.
The candidate will support the fashion journalism team with client relations, press opportunities, gained media coverage, and press logistics. You must have time management and prioritization skills. At the same time, the candidate must be able to carry out multiple deliverables in a fast paced environment.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Support the Fashion Journalism team in developing strong messaging angles for presentations, press releases and other press writing services
● Offer a range of media for press coverage of product placement and other acquired media
● Assist with seasonal merchandising to clients, as needed
● Manage earned press tracking, PR monitoring, storytelling and reporting
● Sampling service and awareness on product status
● Obtaining images and securing credits on behalf of clients
● Help communicate with the editor and give gifts
● Attend client events and relevant industry events
qualifications
● Based in New York, NY
● The ideal candidate has more than one year of experience in the field of public relations with an emphasis on journalism
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail is a must
● Self-starter, enthusiastic, resourceful, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team
● Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
● Monitor press coverage and maintain updated tracking schedules
● Support press needs which may include merchandising, press strategies, etc.
● Experience with Muckrack, Cision, Canva and Microsoft Office preferred
Salary range: 40-50 thousand dollars
