Yesterday (December 3) the reigning Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbournecelebrated his 74th birthday. In addition to receiving the usual well-wishes from countless fans across the world, he's got something unique and special: a gorgeous new mural of his Birmingham countryman.

According to the Birmingham Maillocal artist Robbie Jeffcoat" spent fifteen hours painting [his] Photo from Black Sabbath Frontman "at Custard Factory. Although it was completed two weeks ago (Jeffcott posted about it on Instagram Nov. 18), it has been steadily gaining interest since then.

When asked why he chose Osborne, Jeffcoat gave Simple yet lovely answer: "I only draw people that I really like. He's just a living legend, probably the most famous famous musician out of Birmingham. Having people go over it and do a few shots to tag me on Instagram is fine with me. I've only gotten good feedback from him."

That's right. As you can see in the screenshots below - and as described by the Birmingham Post - Jeffcoat used The "scrabble method" involving a cover[ing] Blank wall surface in scribbles and doodles. Then the wall was photographed and . . Layers with the image he draws with scribbles and then uses as a reference point.

The result is undoubtedly imaginative and worthy of inspiration.

Unsurprisingly, Osbourne was not the first musician Jeffcoat adapted to. As I mentioned American SongwriterHe studied fine art at the University of Westminster, and has previously painted artists such as Jimi HendrixAnd the Eminem And the Amy bar (Plus professional boxer Tyson Fury and Jeff Bridges' lovable dude The Big Lebowski). Moreover, he confirmed that there are "a lot of beauties [he’d] I love drawing ".
