My little rant: Last night I had dinner with My friend Leah, and you showered me with (welcome) support and advice on some of the family/illness/work/social matters we're going through right now. She is a life coach and I kept thinking, Oh my God, is this what she does for her clients?! I don't usually do reports like this, but holy smokes are awesome.

Silly Lily says he is 12 gifts for dads: “Several years ago, we bought it for our parents Cardboard folder with twelve holes, one for each month. In each pocket we put a gift card with a note. For example, a $50 supermarket gift card in November was for a Thanksgiving turkey. One year, we provided gift cards for restaurants. That was the year my mom called me in mid-February to announce, "We've used up all our dinner cards!" It's been 16 years now but she still makes me laugh. It's an expensive gift but it can be in any amount — an envelope for the grandkids could contain $10 in June for the first ice cream cones of summer, and the same amount in December for hot chocolate while driving around town watching the lights. One year, we gave cards to our grandchildren to take their parents to breakfast. They were all under the age of six, so it was quite a blow. Once you get started, you will be amazed at the ideas you come up with. Best of all, it avoids the avalanche of games and spreads Christmas throughout the year.
