All things Ranavat smell incredible, so I was expecting great scents from the new shampoo and new conditioner—both of which more than deliver (think pink lotus and hibiscus). But I wasn't expecting clinically proven performance: It's made with something called the Veda⁴ Bond Complex, and it promises a bond-strengthening repair for your hair every time you use it. I noticed the difference—softer, smoother, and bouncy hair—the first time I tried it on. And the blue aluminum pump bottles are so chic to take in the shower and so easy to use—I'm deeply in love.

Like a siren, these new creamy pigments in irresistible *gel packs* are calling me practically nonstop. It's sheer enough that you can blend without a mirror yet pigmented enough to really make a difference in your look. My favorite is the shake. I smooth it on my lips, then swipe it on a bit—for my cheeks. "Use the same color on your lips and cheeks and it's perfect - it's like they're friends," say the glowy and the funny. Makeup artist Janine Lubell (I met her when she was busy starting a little makeup company called Stila), the brains behind it all. It's the best advice - try it and someone will ask you why your skin is so beautiful.

Nowhere is there more fall than the Hudson Valley. And it's not just the leaves—New England is clearly dominant in this department—it's the romantic, hand-hewn, cobblestone vibe that's accelerated dramatically since Brooklynites began flocking during the pandemic. Fittingly, there is no smell more fall (in the sexiest, most authentic sense) than fire, which of course comes from Hudson Valley's most sumptuous expression yet, Maker Hotel. Fire smells of amber, juniper, tobacco, and vanilla, but it's every bit as airy as it is sultry, sophisticated, and date night. (I met Liv Glazman, the perfumer, when he was busy founding Fresh, and how he managed to bring his magic touch to the world of clean fragrance still baffles me.) It comes in a chic, ribbed bottle (100% recycled) inspired by vintage ink bottles, and makes me think of A cocktail smoked in front of a roaring maker fireplace.
This recyclable aluminum tall pump bottle dispenses the most amazing foaming shower gel. It smells like freshly squeezed citrus peel, Australian sandalwood, and herbal woody cedar, and cleans and moisturizes with lemon oil, aloe vera, and turmeric. It has a scent, foamy texture, and bowl that pleases everyone in the house - male and female, young and old - and has made it a signature of the house.

I'm not stylish when I travel. I got off after crashing into someone's seat Not Six-foot and change (ha) wrinkled, crumb-covered, and hard-limbed. (the bottle is tiny, shorter than my index finger, and totally flight-able), commuting in a crowded subway car, or simply in Needed a great scent to make me feel complete, radiant, elegant, and elegant.

If I want my curls to look good—silky, softly floating, loosely defined—I need this special hair towel. (I already have several because I'm terrified of leaving one somewhere and getting mired in hair messes without it.) The magic is that they're super absorbent and soft, so they absorb water without exposing your hair to friction that can cause breakage. . It also dries hair more quickly—wet hair of any texture, from kinky to curly to straight, is more prone to breakage than dry hair. And if, like me, you often end up tossing your towel on the floor (rather than hanging it up to dry like the grown-ups), this towel will stay fresh and odorless regardless—the trademark copper-infused weave has antimicrobial properties. I get out of the shower, flip my head upside down, wrap the towel at my hairline, and tuck the ends into the elastic loop at the back. I curl for a few minutes (the loop holds the ends tightly, so jumping up and down won't open the towel), and when I unwrap it, my curls unfurl in what feels like slow motion—buttery soft, shiny, and smoother than ever.

I've spent hours of my life (and hundreds of Q-tips and micellar makeup remover) trying to give myself the perfect winged eyeliner. Then I learned this amazing trick from makeup artist Emily Cheng: To find the best angle for your eyeliner, follow the curve of your lower waterline and sweep upwards. To apply the eyeliner, I use this shimmery liquid pencil. One swipe leaves a crisp line of silky, intense black pigment that defines my eyes in seconds. The short handle is easy to maneuver, so it gives me more accurate strokes when using it. I've tried every defining style now, from barely-there natural definition to my favorite sexy cat eye—all so easy and so good.
