The interruption occurred during "Stare it Cold", the final track from the Black Crowes' debut album Shake your money makerwhich the band plays in its entirety as part of 30th anniversary tour. Less than 30 seconds into the song, two security guards emerged from the side stage to arrest the unwelcome fan. Then the Robinson brothers take matters into their own hands.
Chris first hits the fan with the legs of his standing mic as security escorts him backstage. When the fan turns to fight the bouncer and tries to get back on stage, Rich buries his guitar in the agitator's chest, stopping the song. The fan jumps back into the crowd as several members of the band and crew are running towards him, and Chris shoos him off the microphone as the crowd boos him.
"Hey, you threw that motherfucker out, didn't you? Get out of here!" One of the band members (presumably rich) yells off screen. The group then restarts "Stare it Cold" and finishes the song without a hitch.
Black Cruz Launched they Shake your money maker anniversary tour in the summer of 2021. The short trip also marks the reunion of the previously estranged Robinson brothers, who led the band to stardom in the '90s. In May, Black Crowes was released in 1972a six song covers EP of tunes originally released 50 years ago.
No matter what Rich and I went through, even the times when we couldn't stand each other and didn't want to be on stage—the funny thing is, when it came time to make a record or when I'm working on songs, I don't remember Really Rich and I argue a lot or get upset about the look," Chris UCR said in June. "Of course, like everything else, we might have had moments in the studio, but in general, you know, that's the beginning of this whole idea: Let's be in a band."
