As birds fly south for the winter, so does the art world — plus all the rich famous people who flock to warm South Florida when Miami Art Week swings by.
Art Basel Miami, the industry's most raucous art fair, kicked off last week with a full lineup of glitzy parties and celebrity-hosted events taking place in a number of sultry, gritty, and slightly ethnic venues. This means that while the rest of us are still extracting chunky bomber jackets and sweaters from the backs of our closets, art lovers (and those who like to party up close to art lovers) get in on some major cool-weather suit.
