Lauren Scafaria to direct Bee Gees Biopic for Paramount Pictures

The Bee Gees consist of brothers Maurice, Barry, and Robin Gibb. They became popular during the 60's and 70's, thanks to their disco hits "Stayin' Alive", "How Deep is Your Love", "How Can You Repair a Broken Heart" and more. The group, which has won five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, has sold more than 220 million records.

In 2003, Maurice Gibb died at the age of 53 due to complications from intestinal torsion. Nine years later, his twin brother Robin Gibb died at the age of 62 of liver and kidney failure.
