Let's sort the 2022 men's clothing from the Kennedy Center

As a guitarist for U2, Clayton had ample opportunity to get some big fits on and off stage, which he seems to have mostly captured. He, like Clooney, played it safe during the formal photo with a tie and tux, which he swapped for a floral-print blazer and party rag. Something small!

Admittedly, a Kennedy Center Honors Award (or any other lifetime achievement ceremony) probably isn't the ideal venue for a major costume change—especially when you're dedicated to wearing a uniform like Bono. He has tinted sunglasses and small hoop earrings. The round, rose-tinted glasses are a nice touch, but can you imagine if he brought out some sick Matsuda lenses or weird Gentle Monster frames for the occasion?

2. Larry Mullen Jr. from U2

Drummers tend to be the coolest members in any given band, and Mullen delivered on that front. Major highs to the fine-ribbon western tie—the kind of romantic and poetic accessory that, if I had Drothers, really should be back on the big red carpet next year, in Daniel Day-Lewis at the 1994 Golden Globes road type. Creates a perfect "art kid adult" look.

But then we have the edge, who positively upset the White House formal dress code. A polo tie, frill lapels, a signature skull cap, monk strap boots... This is the kind of outfit for which you can accept a lifetime achievement award while keeping a blink of an eye.
