"It's a very sad day for me today," Iommi wrote on social media. “This morning Mike Clement passed away my dear old friend and guitar tech of the past 33 years. Mike was a truly lovely man who was very loyal and whom I could count on 100%. My deepest condolences to his family and many friends. RIP - Tony.”
Earlier this year, it was Iommi who shared the news that Kleiman had slipped into a medically induced coma earlier this year after falling at his workplace in April. However, no official cause of death has been revealed.
Clement has had a career in music, working with Iommi since 1990. Prior to that, the guitar tech worked with Motorhead for three and a half years.
The guitar tech was interviewed by Thomann's Guitars and Basses in 2021 (shown below), going into detail about the setup he used to work with Iommi. "He never strikes," Clement said at the time.
