Plus, as with most of Europe at this time of year, July brings with it long sunny days that are perfect for exploring the many cities.
Visit the capital of Bucharest for a taste of modern Romania and tour the massive Palace of Parliament. Escape to the Danube Delta for a serene cruise around the floating reed islands and enjoy a window on the local life here. Make for Maramures with its folklore, customs and peasant culture. Or, if you're feeling energetic, take one of the many treks where you'll be rewarded with stunning views.

2. Columbia

3. Mongolia

Still relatively untouched by travellers, Mongolia is known for being raw and remote. It is the perfect destination for those looking to experience a slice of nomadic life. Enjoy the chance to step out into the sprawling steppe, watch local families graze and milk their livestock, and sleep in a tent (round tent). You will be amazed at the simplicity of life here with the generosity of its people.
A great reason to visit Mongolia in July is the traditional Naadam festival which starts from 11The tenth to 15The tenth every year. It has been around for centuries but now commemorates the revolution of 1921, when Mongolia declared its independence from it China. Competitors take part in wrestling, horse racing and archery, and the opening ceremony is a real spectacle to watch all the athletes dressed in local costumes.

4. Kenya

While it is never guaranteed, July tends to usher in the great migration when thousands of wildebeests and zebras make the journey from Tanzania in Kenya. It's tense to watch as these animals leap across the treacherous, crocodile-infested waters of the Mara River in search of greener pastures. Witnessing this phenomenon can only be described as a once in a lifetime experience.
Temperatures in Kenya also begin to drop around this time of year and the milder climate encourages wildlife to congregate by watering wells and rivers, making them easier to spot. Enjoy game drives through the Masai Mara Game Reserve and keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five. Travelers can also visit a traditional Maasai home and meet local Maasai people.

5. Russia

Given that Russia is the largest country in the world, it seems strange to think that it is still shrouded in mystery. Over the past few years, it has become an even better travel destination, with many coming to enjoy its vibrant onion-domed churches, amazing cross-country train journeys and mouth-watering cuisine. It should be noted that it will take more than one trip to properly deal with this Eurasian beast.
Educate yourself on Russian history in Red Square, home to Lenin's mausoleum. Make a stop in the Golden Ring cities, which have played a huge role in shaping the Orthodox Church. Discover the legacy of Czar Peter the Great while strolling the streets of St Petersburg. Riding the all-night train is also a must-do in Russia, as it provides a great opportunity to interact with the friendly locals.

6. North Pole

Snow breaks are more commonly experienced during the winter months, but it just so happens that the Arctic (and Spitsbergen in particular) is a great place to travel to in July. For those who are not familiar with Spitsbergen, it is its largest island Norway Svalbard archipelago. Stunning landscapes, fresh arctic air, great wildlife, and tranquility are just a few of the things that attract people here.
Jump in a kayak or lace up some snowshoes and get close to nature. Spot bearded seals, walruses, pink geese, arctic foxes, and the majestic polar bear. Climb aboard the Zodiac and glide serenely across the ice floe, surrounded by icebergs of amazing teal hues. Feel the height of glaciers and take your breath away as huge chunks of ice drop into the Arctic Ocean below.

7- Nicaragua

Much like Colombia, Nicaragua is often overshadowed by other popular destinations. Costa Rica And the Guatemalabut this Central America Underdog has a lot to offer travelers, too. Gifted with stunning natural beauty, bustling local markets, centuries-old towns, Andalusian architecture and exciting nightlife. It is hard to see why Nicaragua has not yet received the recognition it deserves.
Set off in Granada, the city on Lake Nicaragua, to explore an abundance of Spanish colonial attractions. Take the ferry to the island of Ometepe, which is made up of two volcanoes and, if you're feeling adventurous, climb to their peaks. But be warned that 1,700 meters above sea level at the highest level is no easy feat. Locally guided tours of Lyon are another great way to spend an afternoon.

8. Alaska

If you're after a raucous vacation, admittedly, Alaska's cold climate may mean it's not the destination for you. However, if you love the sound of days spent trekking, kayaking and climbing your way around stunning national parks in America's most remote and densely populated state - you could be a winner. Just don't forget to pack your hiking boots, camera and binoculars!
The stunning Denali National Park has to be one of the biggest highlights in Alaska. It extends over a huge area of 6 million acres and includes the highest peak in North AmaricaMount McKinley. Be sure to keep an eye out for wildlife here, including moose, caribou, grizzly bears, Dall sheep, and wolves. Before mixing things up a bit visit Valdez for canoeing among glaciers, sea otters, puffins and humpbacks.

9. Andorra

Nestled in the heart of the eastern Pyrenees, far in between France And the SpainAndorra offers some of the best cross-country skiing. Although it's best known for its winter exoticism, this small country is also special in summer, providing the opportunity to experience a wide range of outdoor adventures. From ziplining to hiking, there's an activity for everyone (even kids) here.
Hop on your bike and enjoy a thrilling ride through some of the continent's greatest mountain trails. Hold on tight as you crash over exhilarating rapids on the Noguera River, one of the top five places for rafting in Europe. Get your blood flowing as you soar through the trees in the idyllic Cortals Valley. And remember, there's always the quaint little town of Soldeu to explore if you feel like a break from the action.
