As for what sparked the excitement? The official Toronto team mascot, simply called The Raptor, came to where Drake and Adonis were sitting courtside and surprised the couple with a candy shower, and presented the rapper with several bags of Twizzlers and Sour Patch Kids. NBA Canada shared video footage of the moment via Twitter on Tuesday, writing, "The Raptors mascot has blessed @Drake and Adonis with all the candy!" Along with the lollipop emoji and the hashtag #WeTheNorth for good measure.

Adonis' mother, Sophie Brosseau, appeared to be present at the match. On Instagram, the French artist and founder of the nonprofit shared a photo of herself with a friend that captioned, "We love basketball," though the duo didn't sit courtside with Drake and Adonis.
