It's been a while since we got a file Large documentary Focused on fashion in the plus size industry, the people who make it happen, from the community, through the community. Laquinta Davis, aka DivaBigg, is here to change that with her documentary Fat IS Fashion!
If you're not familiar, DivaBigg is a body positive company. DivaBigg is centered around three divisions: apparel, modeling and show production. by their motto, "My fat is my beauty", They work daily to drive that mindset into the women they mentor and the people they serve.
LaQuinta Davis has sought out influential figures in the plus-size fashion industry from near and far to participate in this event and this documentary. Each cast member shares their story from the perspective of their role in the industry.

The cast of Fat Is Fashion is who's who of the plus-size fashion scene. For this documentary, we hear from 18 plus-size industry professionals, from FFFWeek originator, Gwen DefoeFashion designer, Yasmine Sheikh From algebraicand even us EIC, Mary Denny!
To kick off the festivities with this super-sized documentary, there are three screenings taking place next year in February and you're invited!
DivaBigg Presents "Fat is Fashion" Shows
The focus of the show is to show the plus-size community's role in fashion and mainstream media. It is an opportunity for people to realize and understand the harsh realities of the fashion industry. This room full of influential people will provide a platform to start the conversation about supporting each other within the plus community.
The focus will be on education, networking and outreach. Fat is Fashion aims to evoke positive images, boost self-esteem, produce successful lifestyles, and promote beauty within.

Each show will include the arrival of VIP guests on the red carpet. For tickets, prices range from $30 to $65. And yes, there is a VIP option for those who want to go a bit more luxurious!
For each of these Fat is Fashion shows, the event will benefit ADAA- American Anxiety and Depression Association. ADAA is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and treatment of anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and co-occurring disorders through the alignment of science, treatment, and education.
For those attending either sort, the Fat is Fashion show event provides multiple opportunities to network and learn more about the industry.
